- 治療期間はどのくらいかかりますか？

インプラント治療する部位の『骨』の状態により、異なります。
(1) 骨の状態が良い場合
インプラント手術当日に仮上部構造が作成可能な場合、手術日当日に食事が可能です。
(2) 通常骨の場合
３ヶ月から６ヶ月の期間が必要です。
(3) 高度な治療の場合
「骨再生療法」を併用する場合には、１２ヶ月以上の期間が必要になります。患者様の状態により、治療期間は変わります。
- How long will treatment take?

It differs depending on the condition of the bone where the implant is installed.
1. Bone in good condition:
If a temporary framework and teeth can be constructed for the jaw, it is possible to eat solid food on the day of the operation.
2. Bone in ordinary condition:
Three to six months required.
3. Bone in poor condition:
When bone regeneration treatment is also necessary, twelve or more months are required. Length of treatment time is also affected by the general health of the patient.
- 手術の際、入院が必要ですか？

入院の必要はありません。
(1) だだし、遠方から来院される方の場合は、手術当日に、近隣のホテルに宿泊してい頂きます。当方で安心いただけるホテルを紹介致します（後記）
(2) 頬骨（Zygoma）インプラント手術、骨の再生療法や上顎洞挙上術 (Sinus Lift)を行う場合でも、入院の必要はありません。
- Is it necessary to be hospitalized for the operation?

No.
(1) However, out-of-town patients are asked to stay at a nearby hotel. We will recommend an appropriate accommodation.
(2) Hospitalization is also unnecessary for zygoma implants, bone re-generation treatment and sinus lifts.

- インプラントは何年ぐらいもちますか？

ブローネマルク教授が、1965年に初めて手術したインプラント体が、40年間にわたり長期に機能していた事から、衛生状態が良く保たれているインプラントは、長期にわたる安定した機能が予想されます。
しかし、これも術者側の技術力によって大きく差が出る事は、事実です。確実な技術の習得された先生の治療をお勧め致します。
当会での最長のインプラント歴は、1988年に最初に当院で治療された方（当時65歳・下顎総インプラントの方）で、現在も全く問題なく機能しています。(2008年9月30日現在、85歳)
- How long will the implant last?

Professor Branemark installed the first implant in 1965 and it functioned for 40 years.
Therefore, if good oral hygiene is maintained, the implant can be expected to last a long time.
However, it also depends on the skill of the doctor making the installation.
Choose a highly skilled doctor.
Dr Watanabe performed his first installation in 1988, and it is still functioning problem-free. (As of September 30, 2008. Patient is now eighty-five.)
- 全く歯が残っていない場合でも、治療できますか？

インプラント治療はできます。
当会は、こういった難症例をたくさん経験していますので、十分治療は可能です。
その場合、状況に応じ、下顎であれば4本〜6本、上顎では６本以上のインプラントが必要になります。
その場合、骨移植等の必要な場合もありますが、いずれにしても治療は可能です。
- Can you treat someone who has no teeth at all?

Yes.
We have treated many such difficult cases. Treatment is possible.
In that case, depending on the situation, the lower jaw will require four to six implants and upper jaw, six or more.
In some such cases, bone grafts are necessary.
The treatment is still possible.
- 人工歯が壊れることはありますか？
-
あります。しかしその頻度は、当院では少なく、2％未満です。
通常は，十分な診察を行って治療計画を立て、その部分に適した材料を選択します。
万が一壊れたとしても、作り直しは可能です。壊れる理由の多くは、全体をすべて白くする、審美的な仕上がりを要求される場合に起きやすいのです。しかし、当院は治療開始より3年間の完全保証制度があり、実際に壊れた場合は、この制度で無償再作成されています。
現在、世界的には審美的な要求に対応すべく、ジルコニアやアルミナスといった、審美と強度に優れた材料の使用が多く見られますが、一方では数パーセントの破折を報告する研究機関もあるため、十分な検討後に使用する予定です。
- Do artificial man-made teeth break?

Sometimes. However, that has happened in less than two percent of our cases.
Usually, based on proper examination and treatment plan, materials appropriate to the site are selected.
If a tooth does break, it can be replaced.
Most broken teeth are a result of aesthetic whitening of all teeth.
However, our work is fully guaranteed for three years, therefore, replacement during that period is free of charge.
In response to the world-wide request for dental aesthetics, zirconia and aluminum oxide are often used.
However, some research centers are reporting breakage in some percent of cases.
We plan to use them only after due investigation. (as of September, 2008)
- インプラントが出来ない場合がありますか？

あります。
インプラント治療は、適応範囲が広くなりましたが、それでも次の場合は、注意が必要です。
＜インプラント治療の適応外のケース＞
・ 全身や顎の骨の成長が終わっていない方
・ アルコール依存症の方
・ 医師との協調が得られない方
・ チタン アレルギーをお持ちの方
・ その他
＜インプラント治療が制限されるケース＞
・妊娠中の方
・全身疾患のある方
・骨粗鬆症の方
・糖尿病や高血圧症の方は、かかりつけ医での十分なコントロールがなされていること。
- Are these cases where implants are impossible?

Yes.
Implant treatment is possible in a wide variety of situations.
Even so, care should be used in the following cases:
Cases unsuited to implants
・People whose body and jaws are still growing
・Alcoholics
・People who cannot develop a feeling of trust with the doctor
・People allergic to titanium
・Others
Cases in which implant use must be severely limited
・Pregnant persons
・Ill persons
・Persons with osteoporosis
・Persons with diabetes or high blood pressure who must be under the supervision of their physician
