この方は、1925年、大正14年生まれの方です。
初診は、18年前、1988年ですので、62歳でした。もとの一箕歯科医院（当時一箕町藤原）で治療を開始された症例の方です。
This patient was born in 1925.
His first visit was in 1988. Our office was located in a different area at that time.
治療前の状態 Condition before treatment
治療前の状態は、上の顎に、４本、下の顎に３本の歯しかありませんでした。その他の部位は、部分入れ歯の状態でした。
本人のお話ですと、柔らかいご飯のようなもの以外は、ほとんど食べにくい状態で、偏食がちであったと言います。また、苺（いちご）のような果物でさえ、その種が入れ歯と歯茎の間に入ったりすると、たいへん痛いと言っておられました。
There were only 4 teeth in the upper and three in the bottom jaw before treatment. All other teeth were, in fact partial dentures.
The patient complained that he could only eat soft rice and that he tended to have an unbalanced diet. Also, the patient said that he felt much pain when he ate fruit like strawberries because the seeds stuck between the artificial teeth and gums.
治療後の状態 Condition after treatment
長い治療期間（６ヶ月）後、インプラントの歯を装着したその日に、念願だった「たくあん」「するめ」などを食べることが出来たと、嬉しそうに話してくれました。
この患者さんは、今では１１年を経過していますが、全く問題もなくインプラントの歯を使用されておられます。その後、上顎にも４本のインプラントを致しました。そして、上下顎に全く入れ歯がなくなり、自分の歯が再現しました。
「こんなに堅いものまで、自分の歯のように食べられるなんて夢のようだ。」と感想を述べておられます。
わたくしは、この方が、堅い飴玉をかじっているところを何度も目撃していますが、これだけは保証できませんね（笑）。
After six months of treatment, the patient was very delighted and said that he could eat whatever he wanted such as TAKUAN, a pickled radish and SURUME, dried squid, right after treatment.
Eleven years have passed since the treatment but the patient has had no problems with his implanted teeth. Later, he had four other maxillary implants, ridding himself of all dentures.
"It is incredible that I can eat this hard food as if with my own teeth" the patient said.
However, we cannot guarantee him that chewing hard candy is all right when we see him doing it so often... :)
その後の人生の変化 Changes in his daily life after treatment
「人生に強い自信を回復し、前向きの目標を立てて、取り組んでいます。これも、今振り返りますと、１１年前にインプラント治療を行なったからですね。強く噛むことがこれほど、自分の意欲を高めてくれるとは思いも及びませんでした。今後の限りある人生で、世の中の人々に貢献して行きたい。」と語っておられます。
ちなみに、この方は、この１２年間、風邪の時と血圧の検診時のみ、かかりつけの内科医院に受診するだけです。いたってお元気に御活躍です。
The patient says "I have regained confidence in myself and have made a life plan and am working positively. Looking back to the implant treatment eleven years ago, it is inconceivable that chewing gives one the desire to live. I would like to contribute to the community for the rest of my life."
The patient has been very healthy for 12 years and only visits a doctor to have his blood pressure checked or when he takes cold.
