This patient wasa man twenty-nine years old. His first visit was on October 22nd, 2004.
治療前の状態 Condition before treatment
（1回目の受診） First visit:
「上の前歯が痛い」との訴えでしたので、まずX線写真の撮影をいたしました。
We took an X-ray since the patient complained of a painful anterior tooth.
撮影されたX線写真からは、左側上顎に親指頭大の嚢胞（20x15x10mm程の大きさ）があることが分かりました。
The X-ray showed that there was a cyst 20 by 15 by 10 mm large, like the top of a thumb.
（治療の経過） Treatment procedure
初診日の抜歯により摘出された嚢胞です。

このX線写真は2006年2月3日の状態です。骨移植により作成された骨は、正常健康な状態になっています。
X-ray picture taken on February 3rd, 2006. The bone implanted has returned to normal.
治療後の状態 Condition after treatment
治療6ヵ月後の定期健診では、問題なく噛む事が出来、違和感なども全く無いとの事でした。
At the regular examination 6 months after treatment, the patient said that he could chew without problem or uncomfortable feeling.

We received the following letter from the patient.
「最初歯医者に行ったときは、まさかすぐに抜かなくてはならないとは思いませんでした。しかもインプラントという聞いたことのない方法を提示されてしまったし。しかし、インプラントの説明や、手術のやり方を資料を用いてプレゼンしてくれ、また、しっかりと質問に答えてくれたので、けっこう安心してました。」
「手術も思ったよりも時間がかからず、なんかあっという間の感じでした。意識はあるのですが朦朧としている状態で、先生の声が遠くから聞こえていました。手術後の歯がない時間が半年あったのが長く感じました。」
「歯を入れた後は、普通の歯と変わりなく、見た目もきれいになったので、かなりうれしいです。今ではインプラントでよかったと思っています。先生もスタッフもみんなやさしい人なので、安心しています。」
“I didn't expect that the tooth would need to be pulled on the first visit nor had I ever heard of an implant before. However, the doctor explained about the method showing me printed materials and answering my questions thoroughly, so I felt relieved.”
“I didn't feel that the surgery was as long as I had expected. It passed very quickly. I remained conscious but in a haze, so I could hear the doctor in the distance. However, I felt the 6 months without a tooth was a long time.”
I am happy with the results of the implant. The implanted tooth is just like a normal one and looks nice. The kind doctor and staff made me feel at ease. I think the decision to have an implant was the right one.”
